About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform rigorous independent reviews and validation of commercial and retail commercial loss forecasting models, risk rating models, financial valuation models, and investment models
  • Perform advanced quantitative analyses and model development to support decision-making
  • Analyze and develop new model frameworks in support of lines of business
  • Refine, monitor, and review existing models
  • Communicate with model owners and model developers throughout reviews
  • Work with larger, more complex datasets to create models
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of model theory, design, implementation, data quality, and data integrity
  • Analyze complex data and associated quantitative analyses
  • Make recommendations based on data analytics and validation findings
  • Use quantitative tools and techniques to measure and analyze model risks and determine model strengths and limitations
  • Prepare and analyze detailed validation and regulatory compliance documents using applicable templates
  • Participate in model working groups and forums and provide individual and aggregate model risk assessments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / college degree, typically a bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
  • Knowledge of bank quantitative analysis
  • Consulting skills

  • Knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment
  • Testing skills
