About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently perform advanced quantitative analyses and model development to drive decision-making through quantitative strategies
  • Make recommendations based on analyses and data analytics findings
  • Analyze and develop new model frameworks in support of the line of business
  • Refine, monitor, and review existing models
  • Communicate with model owners and model developers throughout reviews
  • Work with larger, more complex datasets to create models
  • Perform quantitative analysis and develop complex reports
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of model theory, design, implementation, data quality, and integrity
  • Use quantitative tools and techniques to measure and analyze model risks and determine model strengths and limitations
  • Prepare and analyze detailed documents for validation and regulatory compliance using applicable templates
  • Assess and manage risks associated with business objectives and activities in accordance with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Leverage customer needs and satisfaction considerations in creating customized customer solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University/college degree typically required, with 3+ years of relevant/direct industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree listed under Education
  • Comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience and knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Ability to support and contribute to new AI initiatives
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Python coding for data analysis, modeling, and automation
  • Financial services industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of analytical thinking, credit risks, data analytics, financial analysis, model development, operational risks, quantitative models, and risk appetite
  • Competency in bank quantitative analysis, consulting, data gathering and reporting, effective communications, predictive analytics, quantitative techniques, financial-services regulatory environment, and testing
  • No required certifications
