About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and evolve the WIAM governance framework, including policy alignment, control design standards, and operating model
  • Establish and lead a centralized governance capability across IAM domains and processes
  • Drive alignment of issues, risk, controls, and policy for traceability, defensibility, and regulatory compliance
  • Identify systemic risks, prioritize remediation, and improve control sustainability
  • Define and monitor governance KPIs, scorecards, and maturity metrics
  • Provide strategic direction for audit readiness, regulatory alignment, and assessments
  • Partner with IAM engineering, operations, business units, and senior leaders to drive governance standards
  • Translate complex risk and control concepts into actionable leadership insights
  • Establish scalable processes enabling proactive risk mitigation
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Provide technical evaluation and analysis in a specific security area
  • Review information and logs, execute defined tasks, create documentation, and investigate data security issues
  • Address or mitigate risks and vulnerabilities; review and define controls
  • Conduct security assessments and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop policies and procedures to standardize security functions and eliminate vulnerabilities and threats
  • Align security-area controls to the enterprise framework and devise control implementation strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years in IAM, cybersecurity governance, risk, controls, audit, or related security leadership roles
  • Deep expertise in IAM governance, risk management, controls, and regulatory expectations
  • Proven experience designing and scaling enterprise governance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of control design, effectiveness testing, and audit defense
  • Ability to connect policy, risk, and control execution across complex environments
  • Advanced analytical skills, including trend analysis and risk-based decisioning
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder engagement capabilities across all levels
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments; financial services preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGRC, or equivalent governance/risk credentials

  • Must work from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace if approved for remote work
