About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Technology Risk function supporting the CTO organization and key enterprise technology programs
- Establish and execute risk management strategies, standards, and governance frameworks
- Identify, assess, measure, monitor, and mitigate technology risks across the technology organization
- Provide independent challenge to technology initiatives, control environments, and risk decisions
- Partner with executive leadership to prioritize risk reduction and strengthen operational resilience
- Provide risk oversight and governance for asset management, enterprise architecture, IT service management, CI/CD, DevSecOps, databases, APIs, cloud/platform services, SRE, incident management, and emerging technology initiatives
- Report and interpret technology risk metrics, KRIs, vendor risk scorecards, and executive reporting
- Monitor risk exposures, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
- Direct root cause analyses and hold stakeholders accountable for measurable risk reduction
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting to risk committees, governance forums, and senior leadership
- Lead responses to regulatory findings, audit observations, and risk assessment outcomes
- Translate regulatory requirements and industry expectations into risk and control requirements
- Partner with Technology, Enterprise Third-Party Management, Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Resilience and Business Continuity, Supply Chain, Legal, Independent Risk Management, and Internal Audit
- Influence decisions on technology investments, vendor partnerships, cloud adoption, contracts, contingency planning, and vendor exit strategies
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing technology risk management team
- Establish performance expectations and risk-based oversight plans
- Foster accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and technical depth in technology risk management
Requirements
What you’ll need- University/college degree, with Bachelor's listed under Education
- Typically 8+ years of industry-relevant experience
- At least 5 years of prior management experience typically required
- Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
- Deep expertise in technology risk and governance
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and platform services, APIs, enterprise architecture, asset management, Generative AI, and quantum computing
- Knowledge of change management, conflict management, crisis management planning, emerging risks, operations management, program risk management, risk management programs, and strategic planning
- Competence in decision making and critical thinking, industry knowledge, information security management, internal controls, IT environments, organizational savvy and politics, and planning and organizing

- Must be based in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Strongsville, Birmingham, Phoenix, or Denver
