Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a group of software engineers across one or more product lines
Ensure predictable delivery and operational excellence
Own end-to-end SDLC execution, including requirements alignment, design, build, test, release, and support
Improve engineering practices to raise code quality, reduce defects, and increase reliability
Manage development projects, development teams, and application support functions
Oversee multiple application programming and analysis projects, including development, installation, and maintenance
Monitor adherence and compliance with quality standards
Maximize staff contribution through professional growth and development
Analyze applications to ensure systems meet business needs and specifications
Lead solution architecture and design decisions
Guide teams on build/deploy reliability and repeatable delivery
Cultivate diverse teams and inclusive workplaces
Drive change and innovation
Own results, empower decision-making, and develop employees

Requirements

What you’ll need

University/college degree typically required; Bachelor's education listed
5+ years of industry-relevant experience typically required
At least 3 years of prior management experience typically required
Comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree
Hands-on Java expertise, including modern language features and enterprise user interface applications
Strong experience with Spring Boot, Angular, RESTful APIs, dependency injection, security patterns, and testing practices
Mastery of SDLC disciplines and quality practices
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
Proficiency with Git workflows and branching strategies
Ability to lead solution architecture and design decisions
No required certifications or licenses
