About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor, maintain, and support systems and software to ensure stability and compliance with technology standards
- Perform maintenance, including installation of patches and upgrades
- Detect, resolve, and/or escalate incidents
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Monitor systems availability, performance, and capacity against baseline metrics and report trends
- Develop in-depth knowledge of supported systems and applications
- Perform application governance, including required attestations, continuity testing, impact analysis, responding to audit/regulatory inquiries, and complying with technology standards
- Support and improve critical payment-processing services and associated security controls
- Partner with application owners, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, and operational stakeholders
- Maintain platform stability, remediate risks, manage privileged-account compliance, investigate incidents, and drive service improvements
- Participate in a 24/7 Site Reliability Center operation, including resolving critical systems issues during off hours
Requirements
What you’ll need- Application support and production operations for enterprise payment or financial systems preferred
- University / college degree typically required at this level
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience, including military service, may be considered
- Knowledge of application governance, application support, hardware maintenance, impact analysis, incident management, incident response, ITIL, operating systems, root cause analysis, system administration, technical support, and troubleshooting
- Competency in analytical thinking, application maintenance, APIs, decision making and critical thinking, IT environment, IT incident management, ITSM, IT standards, procedures and policies, packaged application integration, software reliability management, system development life cycle, and technical troubleshooting
