About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with PNC Wealth Management Financial Advisors to build, analyze, and deliver comprehensive financial plans
  • Join advisors in client meetings and present plans and recommendations directly to clients
  • Develop, consult on, and implement tax, estate, and financial planning matters under guidance from team members or management
  • Assist in acquiring new clients
  • Retain, expand, and deepen existing client relationships
  • Conduct research and develop tax, estate, and financial analyses and plans
  • Make generally accepted recommendations to the team and potentially to clients
  • Retain and grow assets under management by meeting directly with clients and Centers of Influence
  • Provide advice and implementation under the guidance of senior team members
  • Identify PNC solutions and services as sales opportunities
  • Develop new client relationships through networking, prospecting, and referrals
  • Manage customer-focused and enterprise-risk-management responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University/college degree typically required, or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Prior experience as a financial planner, paraplanner, financial advisor, associate advisor, or in supporting an advisor with financial planning
  • CFP® certification or progress toward it strongly preferred
  • Experience with financial planning software such as eMoney or MoneyGuidePro strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of tax, estate, and financial planning
  • Knowledge of investments and financial products and services
  • Client relationship management and networking skills
  • No required certifications
  • No required licenses
  • No required or preferred language assessments
  • Must be able to work in-office at a PNC office in one of the listed locations
  • PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position
  • Position subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and, for any registered role, the SAFE Act and/or FINRA requirements regarding certain criminal history
