About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and own backend services behind the patient experience
Own architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of developed solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and design solutions
Develop and implement solutions connecting PocketHealth’s platform with provider applications
Write and test code using unit, integration, and functional testing
Peer-test other developers’ code
Work with PMs, developers, Customer Support, and Implementation teams to gather feedback and improve integration features
Build purpose-built code for varied healthcare-provider workflows
Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Codex
Enable hospitals and clinics to share imaging records digitally with patients through PocketHealth’s platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent/similar
4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a backend-focused or broad full-stack skill set
Experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable integrations and customer-facing applications
Understanding of CI/CD
Experience building and maintaining microservices
Some experience working with user interfaces that have scaled
Collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and ability to partner across an organization while maintaining ownership
Experience with or familiarity with Go, MySQL, TypeScript, or Angular is beneficial, though specific tools are not necessary
