About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Podium's Voice AI efforts and define product direction, customer outcomes, and long-term strategy
- Own the Voice AI roadmap and develop expertise in real-time conversations, telephony, scheduling, and CRM systems
- Stay close to customers by speaking with owners, service managers, and front desk teams and listening to real calls
- Shape strategic direction for the Voice AI platform and determine areas for deeper investment and expansion
- Define voice interaction models covering turn-taking, interruptions, latency, tone, and error recovery
- Design and ship outcome-driven voice agents that answer calls, book appointments, and automate high-value workflows
- Partner across speech-to-text, text-to-speech, LLMs, and telephony to deliver a coherent voice stack
- Define and improve voice metrics including answer rate, containment, resolution, appointments booked, latency, and conversation quality
- Identify and unlock new voice workflows that drive customer revenue
- Collaborate with engineering, design, partnerships, finance, legal, sales, onboarding, and customer success
- Write product specifications, build prototypes, and ship code
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrate high agency, consistently identifying opportunities and driving projects forward with minimal oversight or direction
- 5-7 years of product management or related industry experience, with emphasis on building technical products
- Solid understanding of AI agent design, human-in-the-loop patterns, and enterprise integrations
- Technical depth to work with engineers on real-time systems, streaming, latency budgets, and call failure scenarios
- Deep focus on customer pain, translating insights into crisp prototypes, compelling product stories, and customer-winning demos
- Hands-on coding experience
- Background in ML, LLMs, or large-scale systems integration
- Startup, founder, or entrepreneurial experience
- Technical degree or equivalent real-world expertise
- Experience in vertical SaaS or local business software, including Auto, Healthcare, or Home Services
- Experience leading business initiatives beyond product development
- Success leading partner integrations or channel-based expansion
