About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage Accelerated Undergraduate student recruitment and admissions from inquiry development through enrollment support
  • Communicate with prospective students through in-person meetings, phone, Zoom, voicemail, texting, and email
  • Provide timely outreach to inquiries, applicants, accepted students, and prospective students
  • Build relationships with prospective students and identify barriers to enrollment
  • Evaluate applications according to university and program criteria
  • Conduct preliminary transcript reviews and explain transferability, requirements, program structure, and admissions processes
  • Maintain accurate student records in the admissions CRM
  • Meet or exceed enrollment, activity, conversion, engagement, and recruitment goals
  • Develop relationships with community college deans, faculty, Transfer Centers, counseling departments, EOPS, career services, student support departments, and administrators
  • Serve as liaison and ambassador between assigned community colleges and PLNU
  • Deliver classroom presentations, information sessions, workshops, and other presentations
  • Plan and execute recruitment events, classroom visits, tabling events, transfer fairs, and outreach activities
  • Manage outreach schedules, appointments, events, partner meetings, and follow-up
  • Track territory activity and student pipelines and adjust recruitment strategies
  • Report applicant pipelines, territory activity, opportunities, challenges, progress, and forecasts to leadership
  • Use data, CRM reporting, and feedback to improve engagement, recruitment, conversion, and enrollment
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Contact Center, Student Success, Financial Services, Records, Marketing, academic departments, and university partners
  • Participate in performance discussions, coaching, training, and professional development
  • Schedule classrooms and coordinate logistics for PLNU classes at partner campuses
  • Maintain knowledge of PLNU programs, admissions requirements, policies, resources, and processes
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends for recruitment activities and events
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in university enrollment, admissions, recruitment, student services, customer service, or sales preferred
  • Experience working with adult, transfer, or nontraditional students preferred
  • Experience developing external partnerships, conducting outreach, or managing a recruitment or sales territory preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Zoom; Salesforce or another CRM preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • High motivation and enthusiasm for promoting academic programs
  • Commitment to achieving individual and team enrollment goals
  • Ability to receive feedback, adapt to changing needs, and continuously improve performance
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with consistent communication, accountability, and transparency
  • Ability to develop relationships and create recruitment opportunities within an assigned territory
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Ability to travel regularly to assigned community college campuses and recruitment locations
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends when needed
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
