About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a key member of the finance system implementation team
Work with the finance team, IT team, implementation partner, and business stakeholders to deliver the project plan
Review system configuration against finance requirements
Provide finance subject matter expertise and support issue resolution and decision-making
Lead and support static-data cleansing and migration of financial data from Dynamics NAV
Validate charts of accounts, supplier and customer records, fixed assets, budgets, and historic transaction data
Perform reconciliation and validation checks and resolve data issues before go-live
Develop and execute UAT test plans and scripts
Coordinate finance user testing, manage defects, and support formal sign-off
Review and improve finance processes, controls, month-end, reporting, budgeting, and transaction workflows
Develop documentation and user guides and deliver training and knowledge transfer
Provide go-live and post-implementation stabilisation support
Validate management reports and financial reporting outputs while maintaining business continuity

Requirements

What you’ll need

ACA qualified accountant
Strong post-qualification experience within finance functions
Significant experience supporting and delivering accounting system implementations
Proven hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Proven hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Strong understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting and Forecasting, and Financial Reporting
Experience of data migration, reconciliation, and data validation
Extensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience
Strong Excel skills
Ability to work effectively with finance users, software vendors, and implementation consultants
Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
