About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and/or support audit teams during operational, financial, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits from planning through completion
- Assist with audit planning, scoping, and execution
- Lead and/or support innovation and analytics within Internal Audit using Power BI, DataSnipper, and GenAI/CoPilot
- Coordinate information requests and support for external auditors
- Complete sales center audits and special projects
- Assess warehouse operations across domestic and international sales center locations
- Assess financial and operational risks and evaluate and validate key control design
- Develop audit work programs and document workpapers and audit materials
- Document process narratives and flow charts, identifying process risks and key controls
- Review audit workpapers for methodology and quality compliance
- Summarize observations and prepare audit reports for Senior Management and the Audit Committee
- Communicate business impacts of observations and recommend solutions
- Manage audit finding tracking, management status updates, and remediation testing
- Lead, teach, and mentor audit staff
- Build professional relationships across Internal Audit and business functions
- Monitor emerging trends, regulations, and standards
- Execute special assignments and other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field from a four-year college or university
- Certification as a CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent
- Understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards and GAAP
- GenAI, data analytics, and visualization experience using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, DataSnipper, and CoPilot
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Analytical approach to tasks and responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel 20–25%
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a Fortune 500 or professional services firm
- Desire to learn and ability to overcome challenges and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and high-quality execution focus
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background verifications for external candidates
