  • Ensure successful implementation of product, pricing, and underwriting initiatives for a homeowners insurance product line nationwide
  • Maintain loss ratio discipline and risk tolerance while achieving profitable growth
  • Ensure forecasts and business objectives account for current and likely market conditions
  • Manage catastrophe risk and concentration risk
  • Analyze competitors and their strategies
  • Share competitive insights across the organization and develop competitive intelligence tools
  • Report regularly on product performance
  • Make data-driven decisions to optimize results
  • Recommend KPIs and metrics to improve performance tracking
  • Incorporate customer feedback into product development and improvement
  • Partner with underwriting, marketing, sales, IT, and operations teams
  • Ensure products comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards
  • Identify and develop cross-functional process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in product management, actuarial, finance, or related roles within the insurance industry
  • Minimum 2+ years in homeowners insurance required
  • Demonstrated success leading product launches and strategic initiatives at state and national levels
  • Deep understanding of personal lines insurance and reinsurance, including trends, regulations, and competitive landscape
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency using data to drive strategic decisions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex issues clearly for partners and stakeholders
  • Creative thinking, passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Financial acumen and regulatory knowledge
  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to incorporate feedback into product strategy
