About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and continuously improve IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, databases, and patch management
  • Establish and refine standard operating procedures in a publicly regulated enterprise environment
  • Lead technical projects, architect solutions, and own planning, execution, and post-implementation review
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems
  • Maintain technical documentation and work with auditors on IT general controls, including SOX controls
  • Maintain secure, reliable IT infrastructure and networking
  • Communicate project status, activities, and achievements with internal and external partners
  • Own Azure and GCP cloud architecture health and performance, monitoring, alerting, and critical incident response
  • Design, build, test, and maintain servers and solutions
  • Maintain laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, security updates, LANs, and SaaS applications
  • Administer Okta IAM, including SSO, MFA, provisioning/deprovisioning, access policies, and Okta Workflows
  • Serve as primary Level 3/4 escalation point, lead complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and mentor junior administrators
  • Perform system audits, backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing
  • Enforce SOX IT general controls and remediate control gaps
  • Use scripting and automation to eliminate repetitive work
  • Evaluate vendors and technology investments and contribute to IT budget planning and capacity forecasting
  • Collaborate to resolve IT issues and perform other assigned IT duties or projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • IT related Bachelor's degree or related on-the-job experience
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., AWS/GCP, CompTIA, Microsoft) preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant enterprise IT operations experience, including significant time at a Level 3+ or lead capacity
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail, dependability, cooperation, integrity, and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Experience with Azure and GCP
  • Experience administering Okta or a comparable IAM/SSO platform, including Okta Workflows automations
  • Proven experience maintaining enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud solutions
  • Experience maintaining and patching Windows, Linux, and Apple operating systems
  • Experience maintaining and patching SQL databases
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, mentor, and influence behaviors to drive change
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong hands-on experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude or Microsoft Copilot in an IT environment
  • Experience working with global and/or US-based business teams
  • Quiet workspace and internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
