Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and support the design, optimization and transformation of end-to-end finance processes, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and record-to-report
Assess current-state finance operations, identify process inefficiencies and design future-state operating models
Advise clients on process design, technology-enabled solution implementation and scalable finance processes
Lead and support month-end and year-end close activities, including AP, AR and GL close processes, financial statement preparation, FX accounting and audit support
Perform balance-sheet substantiation, account reconciliations and preparation of audit schedules
Support acquisitions, divestitures and finance integration projects, including accounting and reporting considerations under US GAAP, IFRS and other relevant frameworks
Conduct and oversee detailed financial analysis and assist in preparing client deliverables
Draft reports outlining key takeaways
Develop data models, reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or Excel
Collaborate with senior team members to evaluate client performance, diagnose finance operating-model issues and prioritize recommendations
Support client meetings, translate findings into actionable insights, manage stakeholder expectations and support solution execution
Lead development, standardization and continuous improvement of methodologies, templates and best practices
Coach and mentor junior team members
Lead internal trainings and best-practice sharing
Support talent acquisition and firm-building initiatives
Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven culture

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, CA) preferred
Six plus years of relevant consulting experience in finance transformation, controllership, financial reporting, with strong knowledge of core finance processes, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash and record-to-report
Willing to relocate to or be primarily present in Gurgaon
Deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficient in financial modeling, analysis and accounting treatment evaluation with strong ability to connect technical conclusions to operational outcomes
Familiarity with analytics and automation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, UI Path and Automation Anywhere, and interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions
Experience working with private equity clients or on US/global transactions preferred
Hands-on experience with finance technologies such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, BlackLine or FloQast
Proven ability to lead complex engagements, manage multiple priorities and deliver executive-ready results
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skills
Proven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teams
High attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindset
Track record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environment
