About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and enhance APIs, backend services, and integration components across modern banking and payments environments
Design, develop, test, and maintain solutions for customer integration projects
Use modern AI tools to accelerate engineering productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation
Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported technical issues, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes
Participate in architectural and technical design discussions
Contribute to deployment, configuration, and operational support across cloud-based environments, primarily AWS
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and development practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability, observability, and scalability
Create and maintain technical documentation for implementations, integrations, troubleshooting, and support handover
Drive the engineering space end to end with flexible availability based on business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Enterprise integration and implementation experience with APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration platforms/iPaaS
Experience consuming web services and REST and SOAP-based architecture
Hands-on experience deploying to the AWS platform
Hands-on experience with Git
Hands-on experience with Maven
Demonstrated hands-on expertise with AI developer tools, such as GitHub Copilot, GPT-powered coding assistants, and automated test writers
U.S. citizenship required
No visa sponsorship available
Banking, credit union, or payments domain experience preferred
Hands-on experience with an integration framework such as Apache Camel preferred
Demonstrated technical architectural design capability from past projects preferred
