About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, operate, and maintain the Private Cloud Platform’s compute, network, and storage infrastructure
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines using Terraform/OpenTofu and Ansible
Implement automation for the Kubernetes cluster lifecycle, including provisioning, upgrades, and scaling
Operate and support Ceph-based distributed storage, ensuring data performance, integrity, and availability
Ensure high availability, resilience, and service continuity in production
Configure and evolve the observability stack for metrics, logs, alerts, and tracing
Troubleshoot incidents involving Linux, networking, storage, and Kubernetes
Document processes, standards, and operating procedures
Become part of the founding team for Positivo Tecnologia’s strategic initiative to build its Private Cloud Platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education completed
Strong experience in IT infrastructure, Linux server administration, networking, and production-environment automation
Hands-on experience supporting Kubernetes environments in production and using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
Advanced Linux administration (RHEL, SLE Micro, Ubuntu), including kernel troubleshooting, process management, systemd, LVM, and boot automation (cloud-init/Ignition)
Hands-on operation of Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, ConfigMaps, Secrets, RBAC, Services, Ingress/CRDs, and container runtimes (containerd/CRI-O)
Operation and troubleshooting of Ceph (RBD, CephFS), preferably through Rook, and volume provisioning via CSI
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS (CoreDNS/BIND), Linux bridges, bonds (LACP), 802.1Q VLANs, and load balancing (HAProxy, Keepalived, NGINX, Traefik, Istio)
Knowledge of KVM/QEMU concepts and operations
Git (GitFlow, Trunk-Based Development), Ansible/Python, and Terraform or OpenTofu
Preferred qualifications: RKE2, SUSE Rancher, Red Hat OpenShift, Harvester HCI, KubeVirt, OpenShift Virtualization, Longhorn, Velero, MetalLB, Calico, Cilium, Canal, ADC, Argo CD, FluxCD, Harbor, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki, and Jaeger/OpenTelemetry
CKA, CKAD, RHCSA, or LPIC-2 certifications are a plus
