About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and develop designs for educational materials
- Organize information visually, prioritizing clarity, readability, accessibility, and suitability for the target audience
- Propose visual solutions that balance aesthetics, usability, and educational objectives
- Monitor trends and explore new visual possibilities
- Contribute to workflow optimization
- Collaborate with different departments and participate in project discussions
- Develop graphic projects, perform layout design, and create visual assets
- Continuously improve processes while maintaining focus on quality, deadlines, and the requirements of each project
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
- Experience with layout design and the production of editorial materials, preferably textbooks
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, including styles, master pages, file organization, and prepress preparation
- Knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop for adjusting and retouching graphic elements and images
- Basic knowledge of file preparation and prepress for printing
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Previous experience with educational materials, educational systems, or education-related projects is a plus
- Knowledge of editorial production workflows is a plus
- Experience with image retouching and editing is a plus
- Knowledge of accessibility as applied to editorial design is a plus
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, artificial intelligence, or other tools for optimizing processes is a plus
- A creative and critical eye for proposing visual solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and educational objectives
