About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with colleagues, managers and leaders as the first point of contact for people-related queries and program-related questions
- Interpret and implement Human Resources policies and programs in relation to provincial and federal legislation, corporate policy and collective agreements
- Use Dayforce to support employee lifecycle management, reporting and analytics
- Educate and advise management on HR technical, process and compliance matters
- Facilitate disability claims management, accommodation and return-to-work processes
- Support and manage Health and Safety program participation and compliance
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives
- Assist with employee documentation, HRIS data integrity and record keeping
- Collaborate with the HR team on strategic projects and provide backup to the HR Administration team
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field or commensurate experience
- 3–4 years’ demonstrated experience in Human Resources with exposure to talent acquisition, talent and/or disability management, labour relations and/or HR operations in a national organization
- Demonstrated experience navigating HRIS systems; Dayforce HCM experience is an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to present information to colleagues and leadership professionally
- Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional and ethical manner
- Strong computer proficiency, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
- Bilingualism in English/French would be an asset
