About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage Accounts Receivable, Cash, and Revenue Recognition functions for Alphagraphics, Postnet, and U.S. Business Holdings
Generate and distribute accurate, timely customer invoices
Review contracts to confirm pricing and terms
Record, process, and apply checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit-card payments
Monitor accounts receivable aging and identify overdue accounts
Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment plans
Prepare journal entries and reconcile Accounts Receivable, bank statements, and revenue recognition during month-end close
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, chargebacks, and customer inquiries
Prepare monthly revenue-recognition metrics and aging-trend reports
Assist the Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant with audit selections
Collaborate with the sales team to resolve billing issues and ensure accuracy
Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
Report to the Accounting Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–3 years of professional experience in accounts receivable, collections, or general accounting
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Experience with ERP systems such as Business Central
Knowledge of automation tools such as Bill.com, Power BI, and Avalara
Solid understanding of GAAP, credit regulations, sales tax, and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
Strong attention to detail
Analytical problem-solving skills
Professional communication skills for client interactions
Collaborative spirit and appreciation of diverse perspectives
Bold, passionate, tenacious, and curious mindset
Willingness and ability to commute to the Lakewood, Colorado office
Willingness to complete 2–4 hours of Excel and analytical testing during the interview process
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours per day
Ability to operate computers, phones, and office equipment with hand and finger dexterity
Ability to hear and speak clearly
Ability to occasionally move files, office supplies, and materials weighing 10–20 pounds
Ability to traverse distances within the office to attend meetings
