About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide remote technical guidance to customers
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, network, SCADA/EMS, and cloud infrastructure issues
  • Serve as the first point of contact for support requests via phone and ticketing systems
  • Triage, prioritize, and categorize issues based on severity, customer impact, and SLAs
  • Collect and document symptoms, error messages, logs, and prior troubleshooting steps
  • Communicate ticket progress, updates, and resolution status to customers
  • Escalate critical issues to Tier 2/3, Engineering, Product, and SCADA Delivery teams
  • Own issues from intake through resolution and coordinate internal collaboration
  • Identify and resolve data-flow interruptions from remote SCADA sites to the SaaS platform
  • Execute diagnostic tests, apply configuration changes, and provide solutions for known issues
  • Coordinate RMAs for hardware failures in accordance with warranty and repair policies
  • Maintain accurate support tickets and contribute to knowledge-base articles
  • Provide feedback to engineering and product teams
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage, standups, case reviews, and training sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience in SCADA delivery, technical support, or a similar customer-facing role, particularly with SCADA systems in the renewable energy industry
  • Strong understanding of SCADA systems, network protocols, data acquisition, and remote monitoring technologies
  • Familiarity with renewable energy sources, including solar, wind, and energy storage systems, is highly desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple support requests simultaneously
  • Experience with ticketing systems and CRM tools is a plus
  • Flexibility and strong customer service mindset
  • Familiarity with photovoltaic system construction and terminology
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • High level of organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Experience with Linux systems is a plus
