About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain a thorough understanding of supported products and environments
Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures and resolution of system alerts
Perform change management for service and product configurations, provisioning, and commissioning
Proactively monitor complex application and production environments
Respond to system alerts via monitoring systems, including email and mobile systems
Perform root cause analysis with cross-functional engineering teams
Own reported issues from initiation through resolution
Work with development teams to understand the application environment
Collaborate with product management to understand application scope and impact
Balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with longer-term operational projects
Work with Cassandra, MQTT, Docker, and Kubernetes
Resolve production-environment issues and triage escalations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
Scripting proficiency in Bash and familiarity with common shell utilities
Solid understanding of SQL, relational schema, joins, and sub-queries
General understanding of networking concepts
Proficiency in Python, Git, and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Jira is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek
Collaborative mindset; able to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to multitask and prioritize
Willingness to support operations during off-business hours remotely, if needed
