About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive core technical decisions and solve complex technical problems
- Participate in architecture and technical direction decisions
- Support and mentor engineering colleagues in a hands-on environment
- Design and implement pragmatic, scalable solutions based on business context, customer needs, and technical constraints
- Own end-to-end software development processes from requirements through production deployment for key products and services such as accounting and reporting systems
- Continuously improve development processes and practices with colleagues using data, feedback, and changing business needs
- Use technologies such as React Query and gRPC to solve customer problems at scale
- Take end-to-end operational responsibility for team-owned components
- Share technical expertise and architect creative solutions while advancing team best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to collaborate and grow in dynamic and autonomous environments within a small, agile team
- Impact-oriented, collaborative, empathetic, focused, curious, well-organized, with a continuous improvement mindset and strong sense of responsibility
- Experience leading design solutions from scratch to impact, with strong hands-on involvement
- Working proficiency in English
- Confident AI-augmented development experience, focusing on solution quality and cost-efficient usage; ideally Claude Code
- Experience with or strong interest in accounting systems or ledgers is an advantage
- 5+ years of professional experience working with Java/Kotlin and JS/TS
- Experience with Spring Boot and React
- Strong AWS experience, including efficient cost management
- Experience with SNS/SQS, Kinesis, and Lambdas
- Experience with event-driven and microservice architectures, including anti-corruption layer, event sourcing, and CQRS
- Terraform is a plus
