About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own products and services end-to-end across backend and UI
Architect solutions for customer-facing disputes and chargebacks platforms
Define previously undefined boundaries in disputes and chargebacks across payment methods
Collaborate in a dynamic and autonomous environment
Contribute to team culture and ways of working
Use agile methodologies, pair programming, and mob programming
Use modern technologies to solve customer problems at massive scale
Take full operational responsibility for owned services
Ensure security compliance, including GDPR
Potentially participate in an on-call rotation
Share knowledge and help evolve team best practices
Solve complex technical problems
Participate in architecture and technical-direction decisions
Support and mentor other engineers
Work alongside engineers in the code

Requirements

What you’ll need

Multiple experiences working with Java and Spring Boot
Experience designing and building scalable products and services
Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, preferably Terraform
Experience or a strong interest in Disputes or Chargebacks
Comfortable making UI changes in React; full stack experience is desirable
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to articulate technical problem tradeoffs to a broad audience
Working proficiency in English
