Strategic Account Associate, Medical Communications

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and help manage strategic client accounts in partnership with Strategic Account Managers and/or Strategic Account Directors
- Contribute to strategic planning and manage day-to-day client communications
- Help ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client goals
- Develop annual strategic and tactical plans, brand plans, and project-level planning
- Oversee project execution and identify opportunities to enhance client success
- Assist with scoping, budgeting, forecasting, account financial management, and monitoring team efficiency
- Serve as day-to-day client contact on assigned accounts
- Translate client vision into actionable plans and high-quality deliverables
- Build client trust and offer recommendations to improve brand performance and engagement
- Identify growth opportunities and new business ideas
- Partner with program management on project briefs and kickoff meetings
- Coordinate internal teams on strategy, timelines, and client expectations
- Review deliverables for accuracy and readiness before client delivery
- Manage workload and prioritization to keep projects moving and team members billable
- Participate in and sometimes lead client, status, planning, and healthcare professional calls
- Flag team issues related to timelines, budgets, and feedback
- Stay current on industry trends, scientific developments, regulations, and competitive landscapes
- Build strategic, financial, and client management skills
- Represent Precision AQ internally and externally
- Prepare client plans and materials, address ad hoc client needs, support live client or healthcare practitioner meetings, and prepare content as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 1 year of account management experience within the medical communications or related industry
- PowerPoint design proficiency
- Strong strategic and analytical background
- Strong desire to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD) in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, and/or advanced degree in management, marketing, or business preferred
