About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct FSC and PEFC forest management certification audits for clients across China, Japan, and Korea
- Manage a portfolio of client engagements, including audit scheduling, budgeting, report writing, and client communication
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness across certification tasks and administrative processes
- Provide client support on certification standards, FSC and PEFC requirements, and logo and trademark use
- Support cross-regional audit engagements in East Asia
- Contribute to certification database management and operational administration
- Complete onboarding and training on PBN’s certification services, internal systems, and East Asia client portfolio
- Independently manage the full audit cycle, including planning, on-site visits, report finalization, and client follow-up
- Contribute to cross-regional audit support and internal team development
- Expand technical expertise across additional standards or audit categories
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education in food sciences, forestry or agriculture
- At least one of PV 01/PV 03/PV05/PV08 product certifications to be obtained within 6 months of working at PBN
- Registered as a CFCC/FSC auditor under CCAA within 6 months of working at PBN
- Proficient in Chinese and English, both written and spoken
- Comfortable travelling nationally and internationally regularly
- Able to work independently and manage own workload
- High standard of quality and professional integrity
- Aligned with Preferred by Nature’s mission
- Knowledge of SBP or other supply chain and sustainability certification schemes is desirable
- Knowledge of Japanese or Korean in addition to Chinese and English is desirable
