About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and track sustainability-related policy and regulatory developments
  • Research emerging regulations and assess their relevance to key sustainability topics
  • Help identify trends, opportunities and challenges arising from evolving regulatory frameworks
  • Support development of internal resources and materials that build organisational knowledge and capability
  • Assist in creating content to help colleagues understand key regulatory developments
  • Organise and maintain information and reference materials
  • Research and draft stakeholder communications about important sustainability policies and regulations
  • Assist with communications and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Translate complex regulatory topics into clear and accessible information
  • Support development and maintenance of administrative and technical programme tools
  • Help coordinate activities and manage information across different projects
  • Provide policy-related support to colleagues across Preferred by Nature when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Final-year bachelor’s student, recent graduate, or currently pursuing or completing a master’s degree in Geography, Forestry, Biology, Environmental studies, Environmental policy, Sustainability or business sustainability, Development studies, or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability policy, governance or regulatory developments
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Confidence in carrying out routine tasks accurately and consistently
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be based in Denmark, Estonia or Lithuania for the duration of the internship
  • Must already have the right to work in the country of residence
  • Preferred by Nature is unable to provide visa or work permit sponsorship
