Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and oversee the pick-pack facility, including receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing
Ensure inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, track shipping times, and oversee order fulfillment
Supervise, organize, direct, and train warehouse employees
Develop warehouse operations systems for product handling, storage, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
Review and prepare workflow, personnel requirements, equipment layout, and action plans
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment and enforce standards, procedures, and legal regulations
Oversee logistics and communicate with freight partners to ensure efficient delivery
Use ERP and logistics software platforms accurately
Calculate and manage KPI metrics, including pick errors, employee task statistics, inventory adjustments, and shipping costs
Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery and oversee maintenance
Resolve day-to-day operational issues and achieve short- and long-term performance goals
Supervise quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
Maintain team schedules and minimize overtime
Meet with warehouse supervisors and leads to develop productivity and loss-prevention plans
Order packaging and shipping materials, negotiate cost rates, and maintain contracts
Coordinate building maintenance with third-party service providers for the Northbrook warehouse and office building

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years’ experience in a warehouse management role managing hourly employees
Hands-on, working manager experience in receiving, picking and packing
Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy
Expertise in project management and Microsoft Office
Ability to handle spreadsheets
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Ability to work with all levels of company staff
Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required
NetSuite or RF Smart WMS preferred
Must comply with drug testing requirements for safety-sensitive positions
