About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own one of five GPO Delivery pods and its collective delivery performance across assigned accounts
- Lead execution strategy across the pod’s full portfolio of accounts while managing a subset of strategic accounts
- Oversee contract performance management, utilization, and value realization across categories and accounts
- Leverage technology, AI, Power BI partnerships, MVE, and other analytics resources to develop strategic recommendations and model contracting scenarios
- Communicate analytical findings and influence decisions with member executives, physicians, and clinicians
- Ensure annual growth forecasts and business reviews are completed for every account
- Hold the pod accountable for complete member data submissions and accurate analytics and GPO growth/penetration tracking
- Serve as the primary contact and quarterback for GPO-related activities between Supply Chain and Premier
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with senior member supply chain executives and leaders
- Lead strategic initiatives and executive-level discussions to align goals, resolve conflict, and identify opportunities
- Advise stakeholders across GPO contracting, portfolio SMEs, and Premier
- Engage physicians and clinicians when clinical alignment is required
- Coordinate with COE leadership, account coaches, Rx, Food, and Portfolio Advisors
- Align supply chain and pharmacy goals between members and Premier
- Hold the team accountable to KPIs and targets for contract growth, penetration, and member savings/value
- Hire, coach, develop, and performance-manage the pod; own talent calibration and succession planning
- Mentor the team and drive standardization, continuous improvement, and organizational change
- Resolve the pod’s most complex client and internal issues as the escalation point
- Personally manage strategic accounts in this active account-management leadership role
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10 or more years of applicable experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 12+ years in account management, category management, sourcing/contracting, or healthcare supply chain leadership
- Proven track record analyzing complex data and communicating insights to C-suite executives, physicians, and clinicians
- Deep expertise in GPO contract lifecycle management and performance optimization at an enterprise/portfolio level
- Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and influencing skills with polished executive presence
- People management experience at scale, including hiring, coaching, and developing a team of 10+
- Experience leading organizational change and continuous improvement across a multi-account portfolio
- Ability to operate with full autonomy, manage competing priorities across a team, and mentor others
- Resilience and resourcefulness; ability to deliver under ambiguity
- Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Salesforce and analytics platforms, including Power BI and AI-enabled tools
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Ability to adapt and change priorities quickly and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Ability to operate computer programs and software
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and electronically
- Ability to work collaboratively in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions
