Key responsibilities & impact

Lead end-to-end delivery of large or ambiguous initiatives spanning multiple systems or teams
Leverage AI-assisted coding tools and autonomous development workflows
Own project execution from design through rollout, integrating agentic workflows and automated guardrails
Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, and AI coding-agent best practices
Mentor junior engineers in technical, design, problem-solving, and agentic-tool capabilities
Contribute to strategic planning and adoption of agentic SDLC practices
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using agent-driven debugging and novel solutions
Shape project- and team-level technical decisions and long-term architecture
Lead improvements in reliability, scalability, observability, and incident response
Improve engineering patterns, tooling, documentation, and processes across multiple teams
Communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, product managers, and leadership
Bring clarity, structure, and direction in ambiguous or rapidly evolving situations

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience delivering complex software systems and solving technical challenges
Strong backend experience architecting and building robust services using Python, Flask, and/or FastAPI
Experience writing comprehensive backend tests, such as Pytest, and ensuring strong test coverage
Familiarity or decent frontend experience with React, Next.js, and Typescript is a plus
Ability to break down complex projects into components or milestones that other engineers can easily pick up
Motivation to improve engineering quality, reliability, and service performance
Demonstrated collaboration with co-workers on cross-functional teams
Experience building consumer-facing applications and internal tools
Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without current or future employer visa sponsorship
Successful completion of a background check
