About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and evolve a multi-quarter IT roadmap aligned with Preply’s business goals
  • Set organization-wide tooling strategy and standards, including adoption, consolidation and retirement decisions
  • Anticipate IT needs 12–18 months ahead and implement controls appropriate for a pre-IPO company
  • Lead AI-native, automation-first operations across provisioning, access, support deflection and asset reconciliation
  • Build and ship automations using scripting and APIs
  • Identify and introduce valuable AI tooling across the organization
  • Lead, grow and mature the IT team into a senior, process-driven function
  • Coach the team toward more technical and AI-fluent ways of working
  • Establish SLAs, runbooks and prioritization processes
  • Own international fleet and device lifecycle from procurement and enrollment through retirement
  • Run identity, access and endpoint management for a distributed workforce
  • Manage the Barcelona hub’s office network, meeting-room AV and video conferencing technology
  • Own IT services for company off-sites and events, including connectivity, AV and on-site support
  • Manage IT security and compliance hygiene, including endpoint compliance, identity hygiene and least privilege
  • Provide visibility into IT, SaaS and software spend; partner with Finance and Procurement on contracts, renewals, vendor rationalization and forecasting
  • Build dashboards and reporting on IT health, spend and initiative status
  • Manage and influence C-level stakeholders and translate technical realities into business decisions
  • Co-own Okta identity lifecycle processes, access reviews, least privilege and separation of duties
  • Enforce Jamf endpoint compliance baselines and maintain audit-ready control evidence
  • Implement and operate ITGC controls for SOX readiness and SOC 2
  • Share ownership of AI tool governance, including evaluation, approval and allow-listing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years leading and growing IT teams or functions in a fast-scaling technology company
  • Comfortable setting strategy while remaining hands-on with scripting, automation, MDM and identity systems
  • Deep experience running international fleet and device management, identity management, and endpoint management, such as Jamf and Okta or equivalents
  • Strong command of SaaS and software spend management and FinOps practices
  • Comfort partnering with Finance on cost visibility and forecasting
  • Experience using AI to remove toil and a clear, opinionated view on tooling
  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior, C-level stakeholders
  • Data-driven approach using dashboards and reporting to drive decisions
  • Commitment to IT security and compliance hygiene
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Nice to have: experience in a remote-first or globally distributed company
  • Nice to have: familiarity with GCP, AWS, Okta, Jamf, Jira, Confluence and Slack
  • Nice to have: track record of maturing an early-stage IT function into a structured, senior team
  • Nice to have: hands-on office IT experience, including networking, meeting-room AV, video conferencing, off-sites and company events
  • Willingness to be based in London or relocate with company support
