About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop client-facing solution summaries, proposals, staffing models, Statements of Work, and RFP/RFI responses
- Translate complex cloud architectures into clear, commercially sound engagements
- Lead the scoping, assessment, mobilization, and execution of migrations from on-premises applications and legacy data centers to Azure
- Design cloud security, identity, and access management strategies aligned with regulatory and compliance standards
- Drive infrastructure as code and build automated CI/CD pipelines
- Act as a subject matter expert throughout the sales cycle, from requirements gathering through handoff to delivery
- Manage the sales cycle and coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Own the proposal approval lifecycle and internal stakeholder sign-off
- Ensure client-facing deliverables meet Presidio quality standards
- Develop and implement standardized methodologies for solution design, deployment, and optimization
- Incorporate industry-specific frameworks into solution architecture practices
- Expand the Solutions Architecture team and enhance team expertise
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, delivery, or similar customer-facing technical roles
- 3+ years of experience delivering consulting and advisory services for strategic solutions such as IT strategy, Application Placement, and Cloud Governance
- Deep Azure expertise across core services
- Strong working knowledge of container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Well-Architected principles
- Exceptional communication and executive presence with technical architects and C-suite stakeholders
- Strong cloud migration and modernization experience, including lift-and-shift, re-platform, and re-architect approaches
- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, microservices, serverless, and event-driven Azure architectures
- Experience with solution design methodologies and technical best practices
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure core services
- Proficiency in the Azure Well-Architected Framework across all five pillars
- Hands-on experience designing multi-account, multi-region Azure architectures for enterprise environments
- Experience architecting cloud migration strategies
- Familiarity with Azure or third-party migration tooling
- Experience building Azure cost calculations and cost models for client estimates and proposals
- Active Azure certification is highly preferred
