About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with the growing sales team to identify merchant pain points and consult merchants on Primer's value
Provide technical expertise to the sales team for business development
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and complex technical concepts into simple language
Drive client engagements through discovery sessions, solution design workshops, product demos, and developer Q&As
Guide merchants from pre-sales through successful go-live and ramp-up, ensuring smooth end-to-end integration
Own complex merchant integration projects, align internal and external stakeholders, create implementation plans, and proactively mitigate risks
Collaborate with Product to identify feature enhancements and new features based on market learning

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience in a merchant-facing role with a complex API product, ideally in payments
Comfortable implementing frontend SDKs in web or mobile environments and advising developers on integration best practices
Confidence leading discovery sessions, joining presentations at C-level, and working with technical counterparts at large merchants
Deep interest or knowledge about technology, including understanding, explaining, and designing complex technical solutions
Project management skills; organised, proactive, and able to lead integrations involving multiple teams and dependencies
Creativity and improvisational skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Collaborative approach with clients, partners, and internal Product, Engineering, and Sales teams
Drive and motivation
Experience working in a fast-paced and scaling environment
