About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts with clients and suppliers, including software licensing MSAs, supply of services agreements, DPAs and NDAs
  • Draft and finalise supplier agreements covering software licensing, cloud computing, services and consultancy
  • Manage flow-down and flow-up risks in supplier agreements
  • Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders and senior leadership on contractual matters and commercial risk
  • Support legal aspects of technology-related agreements, including intellectual property and data protection compliance
  • Assist with internal policies and procedures for legal and regulatory compliance
  • Liaise with external counsel when required
  • Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and advise the business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction
  • 5+ years PQE
  • Strong background in complex commercial contracts relating to technology, FinTech or BPO
  • Proven experience working autonomously in drafting, negotiating and finalising complex commercial contracts
  • Experience in a technology-driven environment
  • Experience leading negotiations on technology contracts such as software licensing and cloud computing
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
