About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Regional Sales Managers in identifying and developing aftermarket sales opportunities
- Review equipment sales records, inspection reports, and customer information to identify replacement part opportunities
- Assist in developing customer-specific aftermarket sales strategies
- Participate in customer meetings and provide technical support
- Support opportunity qualification and lead generation
- Prepare accurate quotations for steam turbine replacement parts and related services
- Develop customer proposals and supporting documentation
- Interpret customer drawings, bills of material, and technical documentation
- Coordinate pricing and proposal development with sourcing, engineering, estimating, and operations teams
- Provide technical assistance regarding steam turbine components and systems
- Recommend replacement parts and identify equivalent aftermarket solutions
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding turbine components and replacement options
- Develop and maintain relationships with aftermarket suppliers
- Source OEM and non-OEM replacement components
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, and lead times
- Maintain opportunity information in CRM systems and manage opportunities through the sales cycle
- Track quotation activity, monitor customer feedback, and support opportunity closure
- Coordinate with Engineering, Estimating, Purchasing, Operations, Project Management, and Sales teams
- Support internal training, technical documentation, standard work processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in steam turbine aftermarket parts
- 3+ years of experience in proposal and quotation development
- 3+ years of experience in customer relationship management
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications
- 3+ years of experience with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of steam turbine components and systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel 35-40%
- Ability to walk throughout industrial facilities, including stairs and elevated platforms
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in industrial environments with possible exposure to noise, dust, heat, and other plant conditions
