About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chemical dispensing equipment and other equipment used in commercial foodservice or laundry operations
  • Work independently in a field-based position
  • Deliver exceptional service focused on customer retention and superior customer service, not sales
  • Work a five-day, eight-hour schedule, with possible 12-hour shifts, occasional weekends, and night shifts
  • Spend approximately 30% of the day traveling by car between customer accounts
  • Operate computers and phones to input and access data
  • Recognize visual and audible equipment, evacuation, and fire alarms/signals
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Basic understanding of electronics, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot using root cause analysis
  • Moderate working knowledge of appropriate tools, data, implements, and service needs
  • Proficiency with laptop and cell phone technology, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Occasional overnight travel required
  • Ability to lift, lower, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs and perform physically demanding installation and maintenance tasks
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
  • Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, and dirt
  • Eligible to be onsite at customer locations consistent with occupational health and safety requirements
  • Must live in the specified city
  • On-call coverage may include occasional weekends, holidays, and night shifts
