About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support day-to-day product governance activities and help ensure the product range remains fit for purpose.
  • Produce analysis, management information, and documentation supporting product approvals, fair value assessments, target market reviews, and ongoing product monitoring.
  • Support product governance across Progeny Wealth and Progeny Asset Management (PAM).
  • Prepare ACD governance materials, Assessment of Value inputs, and fund oversight reporting.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready records of product decisions and governance activity.
  • Prepare product approval, change, and periodic review packs for the Product Governance Committee.
  • Maintain target market and distribution documentation and ensure the governance calendar is met.
  • Produce fair value assessments, cost benchmarking, and benefit mapping across the wealth product range.
  • Compile data and analysis for PAM Assessment of Value and broader ACD governance reporting.
  • Build, maintain, and interpret the product MI suite; track product performance, value, and client outcomes.
  • Identify trends, flag products drifting from their intended target market, and escalate exceptions to the Head of Product.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform product positioning, pricing, and range development.
  • Coordinate with compliance, investment, operations, marketing, and external partners.
  • Support product changes, rationalisation, and withdrawal activity, including client and adviser communications.
  • Maintain an audit-ready evidence trail for product governance decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in a product, proposition, or product governance role within UK financial services or asset management.
  • Working knowledge of PROD, Consumer Duty, and product governance requirements for manufacturers and distributors.
  • Strong analytical skills, including confident use of Excel for cost, pricing, and performance analysis.
  • High standard of written work, with the ability to produce clear governance papers for a senior audience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational discipline to manage a fixed governance calendar.
  • Exposure to ACD, AFM, or fund governance, including Assessment of Value processes.
  • Progress towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g. IMC, Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, or equivalent).
  • Experience with product or fund data, platform data, or MI tooling.
  • Familiarity with proposition, investment governance, or advice governance environments.
