About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the architecture, quality, and delivery of the Angular application and related APIs/services
Define and enforce coding standards, patterns, and best practices across mobile and full-stack development
Drive adoption of an A.I. first engineering mindset
Drive technical roadmap decisions aligned with product goals and timelines
Provide technical expertise in architecture, design, testing, implementation, and LLM integration patterns
Lead code reviews and conduct root cause analysis of critical production issues
Own end-to-end delivery of web features from technical scoping through release and production monitoring
Break down complex requirements into engineering tasks, milestones, and ownership across a distributed team
Identify and mitigate technical risk throughout the development lifecycle
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release management processes
Create and maintain observability and logging best practices
Develop and deploy performant, secure, and accessible solutions
Lead and mentor a geographically distributed team across the Americas and India
Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams following Agile principles
Lead organizational improvement efforts and build a productive engineering organization
Participate in hiring through resume review, technical interviews, and candidate evaluation
Set expectations for full-time employees and contractors
Ensure software quality through automated testing, alerting, and proactive production support

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of 10 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on full-stack development
Experience with A.I. first engineering and usage of Claude, Co-Pilot, and other tools
Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design principles
Ability to architect both a UI and an API
Proven full-stack capability, including BFF / API layers
Extensive experience with cross-browser and cross-platform development including mobile and responsive UI
Experience developing and architecting high-transaction, high-throughput systems
Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams across time zones
Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex business requirements into simple software solutions
Experience with CI/CD, Agile methodologies, and open-source technologies
Experience with LLM / AI-native development patterns and integrating AI-powered features into consumer products (preferred)
Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers across multiple geographies (preferred)
Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture and microservices (preferred)
Background in mobile accessibility (WCAG, platform accessibility APIs) (preferred)
Background in fintech, consumer lending, or similarly regulated industries (preferred)
