About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support acquisitions, redevelopment, and development activities in the Phoenix/Los Angeles market
  • Evaluate and help execute investment opportunities supporting regional capital deployment priorities
  • Partner with Investment and Market Officers and Development, Entitlement, and Leasing teams throughout the investment process
  • Source and execute land acquisitions, value-add redevelopments, developments, single-asset and portfolio acquisitions, and select M&A opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, architects, contractors, engineers, and other consultants
  • Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to identify and present new investment opportunities
  • Conduct macroeconomic and market research and prepare materials informing investment strategy
  • Lead underwriting, feasibility analysis, and financial modeling using DCF, pro forma, Argus, and Excel
  • Prepare and deliver investment memos and presentations for senior management and the Investment Committee
  • Support quarterly reporting and ongoing evaluation of the land bank, pipeline, and new business opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of experience in real estate investment, finance, development, or private equity
  • Ability to apply real estate finance, equity capitalization structures, and valuation concepts, including NPV, IRR, and cap rates
  • Experience reviewing and preparing real estate documents, including LOIs, offering memorandums, leases, market reports, and RFPs
  • Financial modeling proficiency in Argus and Excel
  • Ability to communicate investment analysis and recommendations clearly in written materials, presentations, and stakeholder discussions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% locally
  • Proven ability to source and execute real estate investment deals independently preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in the [Market] real estate market preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Salesforce, Yardi, PeopleSoft, or similar systems
  • Willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools
  • Successful completion of background verification
