About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, own, and continuously improve procurement programs supporting Prologis’ Energy Solutions business
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to build resilient, cost-effective, and scalable sourcing strategies for energy and real estate projects
- Translate portfolio demand into sourcing programs and support delivery teams from early scope definition through award, contracting, and supplier execution
- Lead competitive sourcing, negotiations, and contracting for equipment, construction, and service partners
- Develop category strategies across energy and renewable assets by analyzing supply chains, costs, lead times, supplier capabilities, and supply-and-demand conditions
- Establish and maintain the Energy Solutions procurement engagement model
- Aggregate demand, identify supplier synergies, standardize procurement approaches, optimize the supplier base, and strengthen purchasing leverage
- Monitor market, regulatory, and supply-chain risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage sourcing initiatives end to end, including RFP execution, bid evaluation, vendor qualification, award decisions, supplier onboarding, vendor communications, and performance standards
- Partner with suppliers, Finance, project teams, and stakeholders to define requirements, manage and expedite inventory, maintain delivery and inventory records, track storage locations and project assignments, and support reallocation
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of procurement and sourcing experience, including negotiations, contracting, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience conducting and evaluating RFPs for energy-related contractors, service providers, long-lead equipment, material vendors, or new technologies
- Procurement experience in at least one energy infrastructure category, such as EPC services, solar or BESS equipment, electrical infrastructure, or operations and maintenance
- Demonstrated success improving total cost of ownership, managing procurement and supplier risks, or improving supplier performance
- Demonstrated ability to scale procurement strategies and processes across an enterprise
- Ability to develop recommendations and influence cross-functional and geographically dispersed stakeholders
- Ability to travel as needed to support business objectives
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience working in energy or on energy infrastructure projects
- Experience across energy categories such as solar systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems, generators, fuel cells, transformers, inverters, data acquisition systems, switchgear, or other strategic long-lead equipment
- Experience negotiating Operations and Maintenance agreements, service level agreements, or Long-Term Service Agreements
- Experience navigating market or policy conditions affecting the U.S. energy and renewables sector
- Willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools
