About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC and HMI systems
- Support integration of sensors, actuators, drives, and other control system components
- Participate in troubleshooting and debugging electrical and control systems on automated machinery
- Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers on system upgrades, customer projects, and new product development initiatives
- Conduct research, testing, and analysis to improve machine performance and control system functionality
- Support equipment validation activities and system testing efforts
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Work alongside experienced engineers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of PLC programming platforms such as Rockwell Automation or Siemens
- Familiarity with HMI development and industrial automation concepts
- Exposure to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel design principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Previous experience with manufacturing, robotics, automation, or industrial controls is a plus
- E-Verify employment eligibility to work in the United States
