About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design, development, and improvement of packaging machinery and automation equipment
  • Assist with mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for packaging equipment
  • Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Support machine layouts, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineers to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Assist with prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Conduct research and analysis for product improvements and new product development
  • Maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials, and technical specifications
  • Support manufacturing, controls engineering, and project management teams
  • Follow company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline at an accredited university
  • Strong ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D and 3D; experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, machine components, and mechanical systems
  • Exposure to 3D modeling and simulation tools such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications according to ASME and ISO standards
  • Foundational knowledge of engineering materials and common manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify design issues and improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
  • Ability to analyze information, identify solutions, and make sound decisions
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Results-oriented mindset with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
