About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and risk assessments
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including psychotropic medication management
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and an interdisciplinary care team
- Document care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Treat patients in acute mental health crises in a 100% inpatient position
- Manage an average daily census of 35
- Participate in holiday, weekend, and on-call requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Current RN license
- DEA registration
- BLS certification
- ACLS preferred
- Inpatient psychiatry or acute behavioral health experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
