About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide respiratory care for patients with severe respiratory conditions in general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care areas
- Help create patient care plans and evaluate goals
- Maintain communication with appropriate members of patients’ health care teams
- Assist with clinical instruction for respiratory care, nursing, and medical students and residents
- Help orient new staff
- Contribute to the growth and development of team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Maintain credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current BLS certification
- Must be licensed to render respiratory care services in Ohio and/or Michigan
- Maintain current respiratory care practice knowledge through continuing education, certifications, and annual competencies
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification recommended and may be required at some business units
- Membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care preferred
