About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist clients, often directly engaging with business owners, through chat/email support for 837/835-related matters
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of RCM/Clearinghouse capabilities
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries through the single-channel support system
- Work independently with rehab therapy business owners and billing teams to meet unique client needs
- Resolve support ticket inquiries, including clearinghouse rejections, EDI Rules, and ERA/EDI application help
- Identify opportunities to improve the enrollment process and EDI/ERA support
- Understand customer-specific needs, including NPI/TIN billing combinations, payer mix, and unique billing rules
- Ensure the ERA/EDI enrollment process follows the onboarding schedule
- Provide enrollment paperwork and support when requested
- Monitor accounts for enrollment-related rejections or issues throughout implementation
- Devise innovative strategies to improve EDI/ERA processes and customer satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Working knowledge of X12 message formats (837P, 837I, 835, 276, 277)
- Detailed understanding of segments and looping/grouping structures
- Experience performing Healthcare EDI/ERA enrollment process from start to finish for Part A and/or Part B facilities
- Experience as EDI Analyst, troubleshooting clearinghouse/payer related rejections
- Clear and effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, capable of explaining complex EDI/ERA processes in an understandable manner during calls with business owners
- Demonstrated extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines with a strong sense of urgency
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and work independently as well as in a team setting
- Proven ability to work autonomously, taking initiative to identify and solve problems before they impact our clients
- Prior startup and/or B2B SaaS technology organization experience
- Experience in any function of clinical development or medical billing operations
- Experience with Zendesk or similar customer support software
- Experience with healthcare data/systems, ideally clinical/operational clinical trial data/systems
- Knowledge of e-clinical systems and technologies (e.g. EMR, RTM, HEP, CRM, HIEs, etc.)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Must be physically located in the US
