About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell the full Proofpoint Platform to Enterprise accounts with approximately 2,500 to 6,000 mailboxes
- Manage up to 35 Mid-Market/Named accounts, including white space and existing customers
- Work with the partner community to gain access to white space accounts
- Upsell and cross-sell existing customers
- Work closely with internal and external ecosystem partners
- Expand the Proofpoint footprint and market leadership while protecting customers from advanced threats and targeted attacks
- Develop and execute a path to plan
- Maintain forecast accuracy and SFDC hygiene
- Conduct customer and partner meetings, emphasizing executive selling to CISO, CIO, CMO, and similar stakeholders
- Conduct 6–10 customer and partner meetings per week
- Complete 6 hours of dedicated prospecting per week
- Prospect and close business
- Develop complex, multi-product/multiyear proposals
- Deliver engaged presentations focused on customer needs and overall solution value
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidate must reside in either Seattle, WA or Portland, OR
- Minimum 5 years of field sales experience selling complex cyber security solutions (or related field) and managing midmarket accounts
- Demonstrable track record of success
- Experience working with Channel Partners and selling via two-tier distribution
- Track record of developing complex, multi-product/multiyear proposals
- Strong presentation skills and technical understanding of cybersecurity
- Ability to both prospect and close business
- Ability to identify customer business drivers
- Use case/business value selling
- Ability to quarterback a multitude of internal and external resources while being in tune with different personalities and competing priorities
