About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain full-stack applications and backend services using Python, TypeScript, React, and Go
- Own and manage large SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, migrations, and operational health
- Proactively identify reliability, performance, and correctness issues before they become incidents
- Improve runbooks, dashboards, alert quality, and automation
- Collaborate with engineering teams and threat intelligence stakeholders to deliver actionable intelligence capabilities
- Help manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including VPC, ECS, Aurora/RDS, EC2, Networking, SNS/SQS, and CDK
- Apply CI/CD, observability, and monitoring best practices using GitHub Actions, CloudWatch/Grafana, and Docker
Requirements
What you’ll need- Substantive Python experience in production or enterprise environments
- PostgreSQL experience required, or equivalent depth with a comparable relational database system
- Hands-on AWS infrastructure management experience, including EC2, RDS, VPCs, and related services
- Experience with FastAPI preferred
- Experience with ClickHouse or other columnar/analytical datastores preferred
- Experience working in a security vendor environment with exposure to large volumes of raw telemetry preferred
- Understanding of knowledge graphs and graph databases preferred
- Comfort using AI-assisted tooling thoughtfully, supported by sound planning, detailed design, and strong engineering judgment
- Experience managing, maintaining, and tuning PostgreSQL databases at scale nice to have
- Familiarity with modern CLI/TUI tooling nice to have
- Familiarity with Agentic/MCP technologies nice to have
