About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop underwriting and portfolio credit, pricing, and line strategies
  • Enhance credit performance using data, ML/AI models, and advanced analytics tools
  • Improve credit and fraud risk management while balancing risk-return trade-offs
  • Translate complex findings into actionable enhancements
  • Present data-driven recommendations to executive leadership and the Credit Risk Committee
  • Communicate complex data and insights to investors
  • Partner with Capital Markets, Product, Marketing, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams
  • Ensure credit losses remain within the company’s defined risk appetite
  • Identify and evaluate new products, vendors, alternative data sources, and emerging technologies
  • Build business cases for new capabilities
  • Monitor credit performance at granular segment levels
  • Identify performance drivers and emerging trends
  • Implement credit strategy changes as needed
  • Guide teams developing automated credit decision strategies
  • Own the end-to-end credit strategy process and oversee credit quality and performance of the Credit Card business

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree or higher in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience managing credit risk within Credit Card businesses
  • Strong business acumen and deep knowledge of credit management
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Proven ability to develop and mentor high-performing teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines without compromising quality
  • Outstanding thought leadership and ability to build, refine, and elevate credit strategy frameworks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex analyses and technical subject matter clearly and succinctly
  • Strong team-player and collaborative mindset

  • Broad and in-depth credit card expertise
  • Experience with Machine Learning models, credit data, data analysis, and advanced analytics tools
