About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the COO in coordinating a portfolio spanning programs, network engagement, research, policy, and operations
  • Track commitments, deadlines, follow-ups, workstream status, owners, and risks
  • Support the COO’s calendar and correspondence and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Prepare briefing materials, agendas, follow-up summaries, talking points, and briefing memos
  • Document, track, and route meeting decisions and action items
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Draft and route internal and external communications on behalf of the COO
  • Maintain project and stakeholder records in Asana and other systems
  • Translate priorities into clear tasks, timelines, and owners
  • Monitor program and department progress and help coordinate issue resolution
  • Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives
  • Prepare regular portfolio status updates for the COO
  • Coordinate the COO’s engagement with partners, affiliates, and stakeholders
  • Conduct research and synthesis on financial security, community development, and economic mobility policy topics
  • Monitor relevant policy and sector developments and flag items for the COO
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience, including administrative, coordinator-level, or project support experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Fluency with Asana or comparable project management platforms, with experience using them to track multiple workstreams
  • Comfort using AI tools to draft, summarize, research, and streamline routine work, with judgment to review and refine output
  • Strong writing and synthesis skills
  • Sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Track record of managing multiple deadline-driven priorities to completion
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Proficiency with standard business tools and systems, including Microsoft Office, Asana, and Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
