About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform data analysis and financial/FinOps operations
- Support an evolving set of operational activities so the system can perform increasingly complex FinOps functions
- Develop exhaustive knowledge of cloud billing discount instruments, including Savings Plans and Reserved Instances across clouds
- Apply specialized expertise in Azure discount instruments
- Analyze complex finance, billing, and cloud operations environments
- Help optimize cloud costs through billing discount instruments and automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Problem-solving ability: cull relevant details and solve for the essence of the problem
- Comfortable working with numbers, reading complex charts, and performing ad hoc spreadsheet analysis
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
- Ownership and autonomy to address shortcomings and challenges
- Hands-on experience with FinOps and Azure rate optimization
- Experience with AWS and GCP is a plus
- Deep knowledge of Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, cost and usage data, and basic finance and accounting
- Experience with Cloud FinOps tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
